It calls itself Nevermore.
It's a mysterious spirit who sticks around Macy, a young girl who suffers abuse from her family, presenting itself as Macy's "imaginary friend". Macy is lonely and, since she needs someone to protect her, she plays along. It's all fine and well until Nevermore makes a deal with Macy: it will help her to run away from her household, but in return she must promise to never, ever go away from it. Macy, desperate to scape the abuse, accepts. As they run farther and farther from her wicked family, Macy sighs in relief, unaware of the secrets Nevermore has hidden from her, and what it really wants in return.
