It was about damn time I adopted someone on EquineXchange . =sighthoundlady 's brilliant Latharan spirit horse was up. Mine, yoink. I wanted an excuse to be creative after my period of crappy doodles.It's not an original pose. My horse skull reference was crappy, but I only twigged that half way through. Pah. Hopefully the fancy photoshop effects will make up for that.
I'm obsessed with this yellowy 300-ish haze at the moment... Hopefully there's more to come.

Absolutely amazing. You pulled off a different angle (at least in my opinion, I can't due front view images!) beautifully and you certainly managed to capture the light from 300 exactly!
As for the shading and texture on the skull, it completely blows me away - its is totally and unbelievably lifelike!
Not to mention the tattoos! They look like they've been inked into the skull itself. Your ability to create realistic pictures is totally astounding! Great job hun and a definite fav!

What a wonderful piece. I just am amazed at the depth you've got painted into that skull - it has that absolute look of weathered bone.
I think my favorite aspect has to be that ridge of light over the right eyesocket and the cheek/jawbone...
