Not all of the world is as peaceful and serene as the Butterfly Island of The West Sea. Far to the east lies The Mainland; a continent bigger than all of the remaining islands of the world combined. It's believed to be the most advanced region; after all, it is home to most species of humanoids. However, many stories say that The Mainland is also the most dangerous place out there. Humanoids tell the tales of dangers far greater than burning rodents and ship devouring sea serpents.
One of them is about a powerful villain. A hooded creature of unknown origin, wielding great power.
