well digivolution was, in it's own way, a pretty good concept. though it really does fit more into the false theory of evolution, it does still have it's unique features

Oh, ok. And false theory? Excuse me, there's no proof that it was false. In all truth, evolution is real, and happens every day to bugs, like caterpillars...it's called metamorphosis, which is the development of one creature into another to make it more adaptable, which is the same definition for evolution.

don't take it so seriously. when i said false evolution theory i ment more as to the fact that the first evolution theory known had stated that creatures only evolve when need be, and revert back when the need is no longer met which happens a lot in digimon. i hope that clears things up ^-^'

Oh, ok, I was not aware of that theory, I had always thought that the only evolutionary theories to exist dealt with the same form of evolution that PokΓ©mon seems to deal with, where they grow and change over time, and that the evolution is permanent. I always enjoyed the idea of Digimon more than pokemon, mostly because it always dealt with having a single partner, and that both are connected through a special energy. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

no worries, i understand. digimon i can understand in that respect from what you say. thing is, i'm just a bit more attached to the evolution theory pokemon sticks to more then digimon but digimon has it's rights for awesomeness. also, the reason the digidestened always have only 1 partner is usually because they have no way to keep more then one with them at a time where as pokemon has the pokeballs and the labs of the region professors. in ash's case it's always prof. oak

Sorry for intruding, but actually, Digimon as well is more attached to de Evolution Theory... the Digimons, that don't evolve with artificial methods (Digivices and Human Feelings/Emotions) can't revert back the evolution... that's the original concept, in V-pets, Mangas like V-tamer... the "De-evolution" concept is only introduce in the Anime and some mangas, because, these digimons evolve with artificial methods.
And sorry if i write something wrong, im not good with the english.

i understand however there's quite a trace for a lot of different times that it shows that digimon can control evolution and de-evolution at will but that's just something i've noticed a lot

True, but in all respects, Digimon seems more mature, because in pokemon it sometimes seems like you are enslaving creatures in cages to do you fighting for you, and provide none of your own strength to do it, now yes I'm a big fan of the pokemon games, but the idea of how the pokemon world works still seems bad in a way...almost feels like dog fighting or something. Whereas digimon, the real reason is not that the would have no way to have more than one, it's a question of how much energy the human possesses, having two or more would put a lot of stress on the human who's energy they draw from, and would probably be too much for them. Having one single partner allows for a connection to be made between human and digimon better.
Here's an example of what someone once put it as. Ok, the story of pokemon is like a king and his slaves/concubines, using them throughout the journey to do whatever he wishes, gaining a small amount of connection split between them, but not a strong enough connection for understanding. Where as digimon is more like marriage, yes it can turn out wrong if problems occur between them, but if they try hard enough, and learn how to respect and understand each other, it can be a beautiful thing, and as such become almost as one.
So, you see, in digimon it's far more personal, and in my opinion much more interesting in detail. Now, also in my opinion, pokemon did better when it comes to games, while digimon did far better when it came to the shows.

one of the major differences that might lead such "understanding" to be pointed wrong in pokemon is because humans can't understand pokemon language where as digimon speak normal human language. also dude, the whole, entire, theme of the pokemon franchise is for you to treat your pokemon correctly and care for them properly to reep the full benefits of their potential. plus, the ones trying to take over the pokemon world are then "kings" your referring to since they want to have full control and see pokemon as nothing but tools for getting there where as trainers like ash will fight for pokemon protection and in some of the movies the pokemon or even ash himself almost end up DEAD which i think would cause a lot of turmoil.
and yes we all know the bond between digimon and partner and that's where a bond is made and the humans strength gets put to the test but in pokemon you AND your pokemon have to fight in honor of protecting the entire pokemon world, in the games atleast, and not to mention Ash is almost always willing to risk his own life for the pokemon that he cares about which, in my opinion, would be something i would do with no questions asked.
and that's my take on why i kinda like pokemon a bit more then digimon
