I love these scenes of struggling, of fighting back against the bondage but being unable to break free. I imagine myself in scenarios like these, prior to my auction, trying somehow to escape from the ropes, to avoid being sold and taken away as an owned slave. Very exciting images!

Thanks, yes, life is a struggle and there are always forces that bind us and threaten our freedom. The ropes are kind of a visual metaphor for everything that one person has to struggle with in life, and it seems that we never really get free from it all, as the series suggests.
