Wow this set is so good, such a nice fast recycle? on the flash, and with a very wonderful model. I see great work for you two in the future.

Yes, I think there will be more work from Jade and I in the ear future. And, yes, my new strobes recycle fast and freeze motion amazingly well.

Its a funny thing, but my first DSLR was a Nikon D40, such a small but fun camera. and when I upgraded to my D90, I was shocked that the sync speed on the little (older) D40 was twice the sped as the newer camera. Honest, look it up, the D40 sync is 1/500.

Yes, sync speeds on Most DSLRs are the dumbest thing about them. I had an old Minolta digital camera, not an SLR, that synced up to a 1/2000 th. Focal plane shutter VS leaf shutter in the lens.

Long exposure in a dark room with flash to freeze the motion?? Pretty cool floating effect

No, standard flash sync I use, 1/160 sec. The room was not dark, was using the modeling lamps on my Buff/ Einstein lights, which do go out during the actual exposure. They are also the only studio strobes I've ever owned that can recycle fast enough for me to shoot a sequence like this with motor drive on.
