I think it's okay to edit a photo if that adds artistic content, in those cases, it's easy to see that the photo has been edited. If it's only to erase things some would call flaws, it's both respectless towards the model and the viewer. I hope my comment makes any sense.

Oh and of course, Breeanna wouldn't need any editing, ever.

There are a good many issues and variables relating to the choices of what to edit and when.  People think photography is hardwired to the real world.  It is not.  Like painting, drawing, sculpture, it is a medium of artistic expression, and thus the photographic artist deserves the same freedom of expression as any other artist.  As the painter lays down brush strokes at his/her own discretion, the digital photographer has the same right to lay down pixels as he or she wishes.  Photography is the medium, but the artist can interpret and present the final piece as he/she sees fit, so long as it is not presented as photojournalism, which is documentation, not art.
