Description
Edit: I don't know why I stored this, now it's back out again.
Disclaimer: I am no water color expert. In fact I was experimenting here.
Done with two brushes - size 0 script linear brush and a size 1 round brush.
Hope this is useful to someone.

Also, the tip about letting it dry before highlighting β I was always in a rush to finish for that. I need to pace mayself :sigh:

You watercolor so well. I love your tutorial because you use some techniques I usually don't think of (tinting, especially. I'll have to try that!) The picture is also very darling and so well detailed!
Thanks for the tutorial! I think it is really easy to follow and gives people tons of useful information in a small amount of space. The specification of which colors you used will really help out people who have trouble doing color matching.
I also enjoyed your tutorial because I do every single thing you list in the precautions when I watercolor ^_^
All I could add to this is that if someone wants to make a dark sketch, draw it on regular paper, then tape the paper to a window and tape the watercolor paper over it (make sure there's a lot of sunlight.) Then you can paint right on the window without any sketch at all! Hee hee. Instant easel. Of course, you have to live somewhere where no one minds a wet painting sitting on a window for a few days -_-* ... and you have to add tape and windex to the list of supplies.
Now I feel like I contributed my only valuable nugget of knowledge! Thanks again for the tutorial!

True, but if you have bars for windows AND you are running free in Belize...then the less I know, the less I can tell the authorities, no?

This is fantastic on such a hard-to-grasp subject! Many hugs, many glomps for you. I love how you did the step by step, sweet while not adding TOO much drivel to make the reader fall asleep. All in all, this is a favorite I'll be referencing in case I pick up those watercolor pencils again!
The picture turned out GORGEOUS, by the way. Lovely skin coupled with sweet purple hair. ^.^

Hey that's pretty helpful. I've used watercolors before and they can be a nightmare to use properly but does this tutorial also work for those watercolor pencils?

That's a pretty decent tutorial, thanks for sharing Until now I more or less slap on the colour and hope for the best but maybe now I've read this I'll try this method on some lineart!

jiachengwu In reply to drakhenliche [2005-08-14 16:16:59 +0000 UTC]
hey thank! it's not lineart actually, it's a sketch that's hardly visible which is used as a guide (damn i forget to mention that it should be hardly visible, but im sure people will know what's a sketch and what's a lineart)
Lol....With your awesome skill you should be able to do great on this
