I've had this character for a while but I haven't posted him on DeviantArt yet. I swear I'm regressing back into my warrior cats phase due to quarantine.
Meet Smallstar! The leader of Thunderclan. His backstory is quite long but he's the son of the previous Thunderclan leader Blizzardstar. In an attempt Blizzardstar (at the time Blizzardwing) believed would help her become leader 'faster' (despite the fact having a kit wouldn't effect whether she would become leader or not) she dropped him off near a badger den as a kit. She figured out the badger just had babies of her own, assuming the badger would kill him off to protect her newborn babies. This did the exact opposite and she adopted him, naming him Small, due to his tiny kitten size. Funnily enough when he grew up, he became an absolutely massive tank of a cat.
When he became an adult he set off with his two badger siblings to enact his revenge. Making it back to camp, the clan was shocked. Blizzardstar told them that Acornkit (his old clan name) had wandered off and died. Small claimed that Blizzardstar attempted to kill him as a kit, the clan, seeing this lie, and now viewing their leader as a traitor, did nothing when Small attacked their leader. They fought, Blizzardstar giving him a nasty scar over his left eye in the process. He killed her, as well as her deputy and accomplice Gorsecreek. Before Smallstar gave the killing blow, Blizzardstar admitted to all her crimes, killing the previous leader Thornstar, threatening the previous healer Firpelt to stay silent, and even murdering the old deputy Acornwind, her own mate. She was killed in a single blow, revealing she hadn't gotten any nine lives.
By vote Small was appointed as new leader, and went to get his nine lives with the current healer Beetledapple, Firpelt's old apprentice. Smallstar didnt get his nine lives, but for a very different reason than the previous leader. He didn't believe in Starclan. Beetledapple and Smallstar kept his lack of lives and faith a secret. Despite living most of his life as a loner, he was a surprisingly good leader. Eventually Beetledapple and him fall in love, (the rule that healers can't have kits or mates is stupid so it doesn't exist in the Smallverse) and adopt a small abandoned kitten that they named Whitekit. Smallstar's two badger siblings live just outside the Thunderclan border and the little family visits them when they can.
