Description
This is Princess Rune from the El-Hazard tv series and not the Rune Venus from the oav series.In the tv series they actually gave her a personality and added her to the plot. I also like it more that Mokoto ends up romancing this version of her instead of Ifurita, although both ladies are pretty amazing in my book.

I remember El-Hazard. Just when I was getting into the routine of watching it the channel replaced it or moved it to another time.

Sounds like you watched part of the oav series. Yeah, Makoto impersonates princess Fatora as a favor to Rune Venus.
While I enjoy both the oav series and the tv series as a whole, I like Princess Rune from the tv series far more than her older incarnation from the oav series.
That is only my preference though.
