Description
Reposting of commissioned art
He was well on his way to completing his fantasy menagerie. She had answered an advertisement for a live in pool lifeguard. Surely, she wouldn't mind that she would be living in the pool full time as a mermaid. He would find out soon enough as the tranquillizing effects of the transformer were starting to wear off.

I wonder if you should be clear on the artist?Β You and I know it was Ric Quiroz who drew it, not Laura; but there might be some confusion to people who didn't know Ric's art as well.

Had not checked his page for awhile and didn't notice it now shows Laura's name. I'll have to give some thought to an appropriate solution

You're ahead of the curve on me; didn't know Ric ever had a page - or perhaps Laura brought it up to showcase his work.

The page was originally started when Ric was alive and for the reasons you guessed.
I thought page originally had his name on it as Laura just ran it for him. ButΒ I may be wrong. In either case, it is something to think about, although page does (sadly) contain details of his passing.

Still the man, the myth, and the legend.

Fantastic, mate. What's with the watermark, though? Or was the colouring a commission too?

Why make it easy for the chans to steal it.
Which they will do anyway.

Ah, the famous hacker known as 4chan, there's more than one of them?

Unfortunately. Last time I bothered to time them they had pirated the images I posted in less that 30 minutes. I've not bothered to check this time as they are unworthy of my time and I grow weary of dealing with internet trolls.
I really don't mind sharing the image per sei (or I would not be posting/reposting them). I DO mind that they do not give credit to the artist / author (often erasing or removing signatures)Β or commissioner. They could at least drive traffic toΒ our pages if not willing to cough up genuine coinage for the picture. Or they could at least think up and commission an original idea or two. But after nearly two decades, I've long agoΒ given up waiting for that to happen.
So for now, that means smaller images, or watermarks when DA allows for them, until or unless the original artist posts a clean image.

4chan generally has a culture of "find it yourself" (reverse image search). This is to keep the boards at least a little elitist, and to mainly stop a constant asking for source. There are artists that post on and I assume get commissions from people on 4chan. Β I have personally bought content from Abe seedy and argroboda for this reason.Β
I understand the problem with posting paid content though.
I'm not going to argue whether or not you should watermark your own pictures, they're yours.
