Description
In M. Night Shyamalan's "Unbreakable," the enigmatic Elijah Price believes that comics are a form of history...an exaggerated, cartoonified version of real events that someone somewhere felt or experienced. Since seeing the film years ago, I've always wondered...if "Unbreakable" is the truth, what would the exaggeration look like? How might the saga play out as a traditional superhero comic? I've attempted to draw it a few times, but for some reason never got around to finishing. Now, with "Glass" entering theaters and the Eastrail 177 trilogy coming to an end after 19 years, it seems like the right opportunity to crank this out. David Dunn, the unbreakable Overseer, battles Kevin Crumb/The Horde's new form, The Beast, as Mr. Glass watches from afar.
Want to get this on a shirt or a print? Well, I have a redbubble store now. It's still in the developing stages...not much...but I opened it.

It really seems a cover for an old superhero story, given by the colors and the minimalistic style!
I haven't seen the movie yet, but I like how you made emerge the different personalities of evin from the beast; this last one is a nice interpreation, a werewolf with a mix of bat too.
David Dunn seems a sort of Doctor Doom, tho, since the yellow elements of the custom are a little hidden while the mantle-raincoat is the first and easier thing spotted.
Beautiful work, anyway ^^

I always dreamed that it would be a real comic someday. It would be so awesome to read continuing adventures of an even more superheroic David.

I do have two things to say about this.
James actually gave descriptions of what he thought the personalities would look like. He said Dennis was like Bruce Willis only bigger, like a wrestler. Patricia looks like a taller, slimmer, older, musclier Linsey Duncan. The Beast is an 8-foot werewolf, large back, long taloned fingers, long arms and muscular while looking slightly out of proportion. Seems you took it a tad further XD.
I would actually think going a bit further with the story like this is a good idea. If I had a spin on it, it would be kinda like The Shining from… well, The Shining; power through tragedy; David Dunn was nearly drowned and was bullied by those stronger than him, he gains enhanced strength and durability while getting “security Instinct” as he doesn’t want others to come to harm. Elijah had Type I Osteogenesis Imperfecta, his brains grew immensely. Kevin was abused by his mother and developed DID at such a rate he can turn into other people. Now that Clover organization, along with that Ellie Staple bitch, are those who did have tragedy while not gaining power. They see it as something that shouldn’t happen and become a common threat to Mr Glass, Overseer and The Horde.

1. Yes, I actually saw that interview! Typically, I'm a fan of taking things as far as they can possibly go. haha As far as Dennis, he was the closest that I kept to James McAvoy's actually appearance.
2. Sweet! Seeing the story of Glass play out in a traditional comic book form would be so cool.

Maybe in this comic world, we could glimpse into and connect the aliens from Signs, the spirit world from the Sixth Sense, and other M.Night films that could occur thanks them being comic book premises
