Hmm, was looking for the next holiday and it seems it is earthday. I did a painting long ago of a mother earth like this... but here it is, new and improved. Modeled after Shyly but without reference.

This is something I'd seen on Shyly's site and had fallen in love with. It's great to see a familiar favourite, but also to see what your other work is like. I love your pinups, but I'll have to comment on them later.

A very, very beautiful woman! The Goddesses were not some sickly, stickly women like today's models. They were strong, beautiful, voluptuous women. She looks alot like someone I know except she has blonde hair. Exact same bosy type and length of hair. I always try to convince her that's she's beautiful and that she has a body of a goddess, but sometimes she still feels ugly. Here is my *somehwhat unfinished* drawing of her: [link]

OOOh, I love the meditative quality, the way the expression on her face is echoed by the other horizontals in the picture like the waves and her hips.... very peaceful

Your works and facination with larger female figures reminds me a lot of the works of Lucian Freud. (yes, they are a relative of Sigmund). I highly suggest you research their works, one that reminds me a lot of this picture is their work that can be found here: [link] Have a good day.
