This is a repost of the other one. For some reason it got erased and I am putting it back on here.... This is a Texas sized thistle about to bloom.. The blooms are typically varying shades of purple... Although I have seen a yellow one before. Some of the thistles we have here can be a little larger than a softball.... Takes quite a gust of wind(or a shake by an impatient child)to let loose the seeds of those..
