Photo 1/2Here's my first attempt to build a 40k pistol for a friend. I may do a few more details, but I'm calling this one done for right now! I will upload another photo with better light soon
Donor gun is a NERF Recon
The seals were hand made with sculpty clay. The magazine is functional and was made by Bruce Johnson (my Dad! Hehe)

Thank you! That's magazine shell is actually made in-house. We built it over a functional 6rd magazine.

I love it, but the gold trim is a bit iffy for my taste.

I still have some time to play with it, but I was trying to transfer the look from another gun that didn't have all the detail of the recon. I don't prefer to "copy" a design because that happens where it doesn't come out quite the same. I appreciate the input

lol you could try making a full size bolter out of the longshot-cs6 or a heavy bolter out of the vulcan

bunny mad me d'awww! hehe The mag was made with MDF board and epoxy clay. This was all prototype-ish, but I like how it came out - bonus that it hold the 6 darts!

a buddy on FB made them for me from sculping clay. I'm glad you like how they came out. Future ones will probably be CnC, but I like the look of the seal like this especially well.
