Description
The Storm Breaker is a crow-faced creature that resides at high altitudes, mediating winds and clouds with an oar it keeps on its back. It can't fly, but is light enough to use the winds to glide from place to place. It mainly concerns itself with limiting storms to a certain size by breaking up the currents with its oar.If any of you have ever watched Sunabouzu before, you'll probably think this dude looks familiar. That's because I drew this guy right after thinking to myself how cool Amagumo was. Looking back on this, I may have borrowed a bit too much from him...
Oh well. It looked cool anyhow, and in the end isn't that all that matters? *is sued* Originally his name was going to be "Stormy Breaker," but as neat as the combo sounds, who goes around with the alias "Stormy"? It sounded a bit too...cute.
This marks the first time I've used Flash's bitmap filters and blend options for lighting effects. I have to say, it's pretty pimpin'.
Oh yeah, and that's not a hood - it's a triangular hat. 'Cause triangle hats are the best kind of hats.

So it's like a tengu in a tattered jacket. Neat!

A very neat original piece!
(clichΓ© comment ahoy) He reminds me of a mix between two of my mentors; whimsical yet mellow and ever so determined to keep everything evened out to a perfect degree whilst having a bit of fun, so everything is where it needs to be.
Quite lovely, this.

I disagree.
Tophats are the now, the past and the future.
triangular hats are nothing but a bite in the apple that is society.
A BITE I SAY!
And that is final.

Hi,
I love this deviation. Great job. What inspired you to draw this? Is this based on something??

The character idea is most awesome. I like his skinny limbs and overall tattered look.
Kudos!

Woah. This is really bumpin'. The tattered cloak is a great touch to the character's design. I'm more impressed the more I see your work.

it's good.
would you be particularly bothered if I said it sound very much like a japanese type of thingy?
like a tengu, except much better-looking and without any possibility of being misconstrued as having big, fat, ugly noses?
if so, it's a bit late for me to take it back.
HAHA!

After spending money on ALL the Sunabouzu (couldnt get the first one) I'd damn well better know who Amagumo is.
It was a great series... and ironically, was more amusing dubbed. The costume reminds me a LOT of Amagumo and well, the eyes look familiar.
