Description
Here's another Pax weapon, the assault rifle.

I decided that rather then trying to do something completely new, I would base the assault rifle on Boyce's Custom Jump rifle, which was based on the SL-8; the civilian model of the g36 line.

There's still a lot of tweaking and fine tuning to do to give it that 'all inclusive' feel that Pax technology has, rather then the adaptable style that the UNMC prefers, as well as to pull it a little farther away from its real world influence.
So in this case, the gun, the grenade launcher, the optics/sight are all one unit, built into to the gun as standard equipment and there's not a lot of customization because the weapon is already so versatile.

Like it's UNMC counterpart, this is a fully automatic rail gun, however the rate of fire is slightly higher then AR-588 rifle. As with all rail gun technology, training in precision firing (single shot and three round bursts) is stressed over volume of fire.
