Description
I know they're working on a Robocop reboot, and I read that there is talk of doing a Back to the Future reboot, so I started thinking, "What if you combine the two into a third reboot?" Thus: Back to the Future + Robocop = Timecop! This is obviously not my art, I've simply manipulated two movie posters (three if you count the logo). Was a lot of work, though, getting rid of Marty and Doc, and getting the background looking more or less right.
And just so we're clear on my thoughts on the Robocop reboot: Peter Weller is Robocop, end of story.
EDIT:
Forgot to add some copyrights and stuff, just to be safe.
Robocop belongs to MGM
Timecop and Back to the Future belongs to Universal

Pretty crazy idea, but it wont happen - MGM and Universal working together? Never! Also, where to get a Delorean from nowadays? And Robocop wont fit into it anyway...
Talking about crazy... Have you heard about a movie called "Iron Sky"? THAT is crazy! Nazis from the moon (they hid there since WW2) trying to invade earth to found the 4th Reich! Sarah Palin as US president! And a finnish film director who made all this for 7 mio β¬ - but it doesnt look like this at all. Big space battles, nice sound stages, cool actors - and they even speak! Take a look if you get a chance, you havenΒ΄t seen something like that for a while I tell you...

The impossible only takes longer. They still have the original Deloreans used in the Back to the Future movies somewhere, and there's been plenty of people who've made their own BttF Deloreans. The real question is: would we want it to happen?
Of course I've heard of Iron Sky! Finland is a neighbouring country, AND I am a science fiction fan, so with the pages I visit, it would have been impossible for me not to learn about it.
It's a crazy idea, but then, the Finns are pretty crazy to begin with. Still looks like a damn great and fun movie!

Dont know about the Deloreans... they were pretty crappy cars even when they were new. BttF fans are probably the only people who still own them. And no, I could live without a new Robo/Time/back to whatever follow up.
Dont know if Iron Sky is a great movie... looking at its production cost I guess it is. In any case its a really unusual and weird movie, that crosses some lines of political correctness. And its sure not like the finnish movies I have seen before.

I've heard that the Delorean is supposed to be pretty crappy, but try googling "delorean fan club", there are quite a lot, actually. And not just BttF fans, either.
There is already a Robocop remake, as you probably know, and there's also talk about more BttF movies, either remakes or prequels/sequels. Hollywood just seem to have completely run out of new ideas.
When I said that Iron Sky looked like a "great" movie, I didn't mean to imply that it was an instant classic, just great entertainment. And forget Finnish main stream movies, they're usually dark, depressing, and without a smile in sight. Try underground movies, like the Star Trek parody "Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning" [link]

Looks like they are the same people who also made Iron Sky. Lets see if I can find the Star Wreck movie somewhere as well.
Yeah, the finnish movies I remember are kind of dull and depressing. And the characters never speak much. Occassionally they grunt, or say "yep" or "dunno", and then they stare at the water of a lake for 5 minutes again. I think Finns must have a slower metabolism than other people...

Apart from Iron Sky and Star Wrecks, I've never come across a Finnish movie that I actually want to watch. And I've been subjected to a lot of Finnish TV movies, back when we only had the one TV channel. Dark, moody and depressing would fit most Finnish movies. And here's a jolly thought: Apart from the USA, Finland has the most liberal gun laws...
Come to think of it, *humon

OK, getting tired here, I managed to hit the "Add Comment" button before I was done...
Anyway, *humon has a quite funny webcomic called "Scandinavia and the world", where all the countries are personified, and Finland is just like we've been discussing... Here, for instance: [link]

So funny. It would be pretty awesome to make a BTTF+Robocup+Friday 13th. Here's the plot. The DeLorean crew encounter a fatal error while returning from the future and end up at Cristal Lake. Unaware that the immortal Jason still roams the area, they start to hide the DeLorean untill they find the part they need to fix it. When Jason attacks and slays Doc, Marty's only chance to escape is to drive away with DeLorean.
After he finds out that the only place to find the neccesary part for the time machine is located in the technical museum in Detroit, he drives all the way there. Getting through the countryside was easy enough but already near the city limits he gets police on his tail. Needless to say, the police was no match for Marty's driving skills. He steals the part, but triggers an alarm and gets the Robocop on his tail. Cornered, he explains to the Robocop what happened and that they need to fix everything. The Robocop decides to help Marty, and they go back to the past to destroy Jason.

Hmm, neat idea, I might look into making a mock-up poster for that as well.
