I am offended! This is just wrong and must be taken down! I can't believe you shot this image at 1/80 second.Β 1/80 second makes me feel wrong on the inside.Β And even thought I should keep my negative comments to myself, I have to flame things up. I have kids and this site should really have some sort of filter so that when there is a picture taken at 1/80 second it will not just pop up for them to see.Β I'm "this close" to dropping from this site. How can you call this art when you are using 1/80 second? Maybe it might be different if you were using 1/125th or, dare I say 1/60, but you had to go with 1/80. This type of shutter speed is so unnecessary.

So it seems the art illiterates have gathered here to display their ignorance and intolerance for all the world to see. I'm thinking they must somehow be related to the buffoons running the show in Washington, D.C. these days. At least as far as using propaganda and unsupported personal opinions as scare tactics intended to deny others the right to pursue their personal opinions and safe voyage through life. The good news is they all are inconsequential to the flow of reality and will be mostly ignored by the reasonable thinkers of this time.

So why is this image worthy of being called art? For me it is because it evokes creative thought in all but the tiniest closed minds. For example, I see a noseless face with puckered lipsΒ whistling. I see a bodyscape with beautiful textures and tones. And yes, I see an anatomically perfect female reproductive organ withΒ ideal proportion and shape. What I don't see is body fluid or penetration or anything even remotely similar or related to sexual activity as typically associated with the label "porn".

I LOVE the reactions shots like this invoke. In my opinion, good art should encourage conversation and have a lasting impact, and you captured just that. I agree with thesimmsonian completely, good job stirring the pot.
And as far as "kids see these photos..."; maybe as a parent, you should turn on your mature content filter. Just saying...
