hmmm well i did this one for work, so i think it was about 4-5 days... this was also because the resolution i was working on was RIDICULOUSLY big (they wanted it for a gigantic poster) and it was just really slow to paint etc...

hah the tiger took a loooong time to do... mind you, this was at a massive resolution so that it could be used for an advertisement (although they never used this one, hence why i was allowed to put it up on deviant)

thats just brilliant , and the rhino on the man's shoulder is just an excellent idea , great detail on the tiger, over all i can just feel the rush of the whole scene , great job

Wow! I had to just sit and oogle at this for a while - so much going on with so many lovely details, like that rhino head shoulder guard thing (I think that's cool). And how do you get fur looking so furry?
You mention about focus in one of your replies - if it's any help, when I first saw this the first thing my eyes went to was the head and shoulders of the guy dodging the tiger, then to the gladiator on the left. I don't think the background needs washing out more - it didn't seem to fight for attention, but that's just me
