Description
25000 Astrometria (1998 OW5) is a main-belt asteroid discovered on July 28, 1998 by Paul G. Comba at Prescott Observatory. It is named after the technique of astrometry which is used to discover many minor planets. The asteroid made its closest approach to earth at a distance of 1.912 AU on March 21, 2013.

As you may or may not know. I am an EXTREME fan of anything from the 1940's to the 1960's (majorly the 1950's), and I also LOVE retro-futurism (which is why I love Fallout). And this does fit a 1950 retro-futuristic piece of art. So guess what? You probably guessed by now, I LOVE THIS. It's just so brilliant.

Retro-futurism is the best! I think Bioshock Infinite fits with this category too, and I really like that, but if we're just talking about retro-futuristic space travel; it's been a dream of mine since childhood. The Jetsons is one of the influences, I reckon, especially with that kind of aesthetic.

Bioshock Infinite was an amazing game, but in terms of gameplay, the first was better. But that's just my opinion.

That pink spacesuit would be fun to see in full, and combined with the regalia, it's quite interesting. I love the texture of the mane here. Also, dat stylized appearance really looks quite nice. And the asteroid surface with its almost gem-strewn-like look is quite pretty indeed. Well done.
