Gas started to flood the room. When he woke up, he was surprised that opening his eyes granted him no more vision than when they were closed. He instinctively tried to get up, but found he could not move his arms or legs. Rather than being simply useless, dexterity-wise, his arms felt immobile and tightly bound. The straitjacket kept them strictly locked in a self-hug without recourse. Strangely, he heard nothing as he struggled. An eerie, deafening silence fell over him. He tried to scream, but nothing came out. The only thing he could feel was the cold air lapping against his feet, which felt more receptive to tactile stimulation with all of his other senses cut off. These strange pieces of clothing had stopped being mere curiosities and more of a terrifying reality.
