Description
So, I wanted this version to look more like and actual Lizard so I went with the yellow Gecko.

Origin wise, Curt Connors is a famous genetics researcher at Empire State University. He was born with only one arm. His wife, Martha Connors, was diagnosed with terminal Lung Cancer, so he wants to find a cure for her and a way to grow his right arm.

He experiments with Lizard DNA for their ability to grow limbs and fight diseases (Scientists have found a possible way to fight cancer in yellow gecko cells).

He creates a formula, with funding from Oscorp, and injects it into himself.

At first he is successful, Peter comes to visit him and during his tutoring session with the good doctor, his spider Sense keeps going off and he notices that Connors has scales on his neck and he pronouncing S's in a strange way.

Eventually Peter heads to the bathroom and when he returns, finds Connors on the ground in a ball groaning, he walks over and Connors screams for him to get away as he turns into this, The Lizard!

I really had trouble trying to find a balance between Curt working at ESU, a personal relationship with Peter, and Peter going to Midtown High School, but I eventually settled on, the Connors and the Parkers(Ben/May) to be close friends, Ben and Curt being fishing buddies, and Curt having worked with Richard Parker on a cure for malaria.

Peter eventually gets tutoring from Connors just to help him bump up his grades, as he had slacked a bit when he was first starting out as Spider-Man.
