In the 3DS game, "Kid Icarus: Uprising", there are hot springs in various levels. Whenever Pit gets into one, he'll gradually recover health, which pretty much makes him feel like in the paradise or spa. Hot springs are, actually, used for certain therapeutic uses on people, so that could explain the healing factor these bring. However, there's something you have to take in mind. Overusing a hot spring will lead it to no longer recover any health, rendering it useless.Pit really loves hot springs and will do anything to get into one.

I actually beat the very 1st stage in kid icarus on a difficulty of 9.0 with a level 313 orbitars! And may beat the rest on a different difficulty on every chapter

Heheh -- my engineer's mind saw your title and thought it might have something to do with a coil spring heated to prepare it for a forging or welding operation, depicting a worker taking a red-hot spring out of a furnace. That sure would be a surprise to Pit.

Kinda makes me think of Mother 3's hotsprings. I like the moment where you come out of a burning house as Flint covered in ashes and everyone takes notice that you're pitch black

Well. You see. Natsuki (the girl in the hot spring) is currently wearing a swimsuit, while Pit goes in hot springs fully dressed. That's pointed out during chapter 2 of the game:
