Rommel was and will always remain a legend, loved by the men he commanded and also deeply respected by the Allied commanders he fought against. He was the last of a dying breed, he was always professional, true to his sense of honor and duty to his country, and never committed any atrocities even when ordered by Hitler to do so. It's such a shame that such an amazing man and talented leader was forced to fall victim of the Fuhrer's insane paranoia.
