Personality

Rufina was bought from Blue Rosenlake Stables, since her markings was so striking Rosendal couldn't keep their hands away and bought her later on.
She is a pleasant mare who is a good worker and does what she can. She is not very social or playful but prefer to be slightly left alone from everything concidered games and plays. She simply do not understand what that fun is with running around and play. She is low in the rank, but that doesn't mean she runs away when the higher ranked horses comes alone... she is still rather social towards other horses. She isn't brave but nor is she a coward, but she has her moments when she suddenly decides a stone she has past by several times without problem, suddenly is dangerous and is about to jump up and bite her.

She has a good exterior and built and is rather muscly for being a mare. She has a beautiful long curved neck with a good looking head. She also have one blue eye, while the other is brown. She moves pleasantly without any problem though her walk can be a bit sloppy and she is rather lazy when walking and you will need to remind her to keep the pace over and over again. She can test you sometimes by simply disobay when she decides a workout is over before it even have started. Other than that she is a good horse to ride and work with.

She is for the most part a calm horse to tend and care for. She doesn't make much fuss of herself, but can kick or bite you if you tickle her back thighs when grooming. She is very sensitive her and most likely very ticklish. She will agree to almost anything you do to her as long as it is not a too great effort on her part. So people taking care of her and pampering her is not a problem at all. She'll welcome it gladly. She can be a bit tricky to transport at times since she is a bit suspicious about the trailer and doesn't go in too eagerly. It is one spooky thing with a black hole up the long ramp.
Ruffy can be a little picky with her food, but it is not a big problem. She hates the vet though. If there is something she is most afraid of than anything, it is the vet. As soon as she sees the car she will take off... and that is the only time you really see her run for her life.

If she is out in her pasture all by herself she doesn't walk up to you, but you will have to walk to her. She is not a horse who comes when you calls for her. But if she is with other horses who is more cooperative, she will follow. She doesn't want to be left behind... the herd is a safety place sometimes when the dark is creeping in.
She is often standing with her head out her window in her stall when the window is open, just standing there and looking out. She is a calm horse in the stable and enjoys long naps in her straw.

When riding her outside you need to be prepared if she suddenly bolts because she get's "frighten" of something, it goes the same for indoors, but not as much. To ride in traffic is at your own risk. She is afraid of the bigger vehicles such as tractors, buses and trucks.
