Story:

Jake couldn't miss the chance to start showing Hope as soon as he had seen the training show at KPH posted. After his talk with the owner at Scott Peak it had been clear that Mr. Moore wanted to start advertising the new Western wing in the stables as soon as possible, and what a better way to do it than for the head rider and trainer of the program to start getting out there in some shows. Jake couldn't have agreed more.
Hope Of Gold was as eager to work as ever, the buckskin roan stallion never tired out from working and always wanted more. Jake was of course more than happy to give him what he asked for, although for this team he had to be the one with the cold head to know when enough was enough... Especially when they still had to perform in the show…
A couple more of exercises later Jake let Hope walk freely around the arena while he mentally reviewed like usual the routine, a habit he’s had since he was a kid and that hadn’t disappeared through the years. The man lifted his head as he heard them being called to start, instinctively giving the buckskin roan a couple of pats on the neck as they headed to the arena, smiling as he realised that the gesture was also engraved in him.
“Some things never change…” He said in a cheerful voice, happy to be back on a show ring.
