Description
I took this with my 35mm at one of the strangest places I've ever been. It was called "Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum". It house hundreds of old mechanical games, trinkets, puppets, wax figures, and wonders. If you are afraid of clowns, marionettes, fortune tellers, etc. this is the place for you to visit on a halloween night! The owner is even on the creepy side. He scared me pretty badly when I was sticking my hand in a cage thing that said "don't put hands in cage". He yelled at me that it would come to life if I did (the Frankenstein inside). Anyway, this was a nice little stage in a glass case- where for 50 cents you could watch a demonstration of the Spanish Inquisition! We also wasted 50 cents on seeing a freakishly-real wax sculpture guy vomiting into a bucket.Oh! And can anyone spot the creepy reflection on the glass?

Huh, creepy. Would be a great design for a club in Vegas though. And I guess I'm too late to make the Monty Python joke. But I am definately visiting this place for sure! I LOVE PUPPETS AND CLOWNS AND OLD TIMEY WIERD THINGS!!!

Why does it have to be Spanish? As the son of a Spanish man I find this offensive.

I'm sorry that you take offense. I titled it that because that is what the diagram was of. See: [link]
More specifically I was also referring to: [link]
I don't feel I need to defend myself any further.

Sweet! I never even thought about taking pictures at Marvins... the place is so fun, lots of random stuff to see, but I think what makes it ultra creepy are the leftover chucky cheese and whatever large singing doll things... will always scare the shit out of me. I love how this picture actually takes the creepiness out of it for me, usually Marvins is super dark and this is well... lit up kindof like those christmas claymation stories about rudolph or something.

You've been to Marvin's too?! I've been only the once, but it is a great spooky trip to take. Did you happen to see the owner's little workshop room where he fixes the things? There's like, a ton of electrical stuff in there.

This reminds me of some portions of the House on the Rock in Wisconsin. ALthough, this is probably the bloodiest vintage mechanical set I've ever seen documented. O_o

I'm in deep wonder, this place of interest. The individual capturing the scenes, (which is you) how do you interpret the things you've captured?

Well, it's very strange that something like this would be a game, or as entertainment when it has deep, disturbing historical accuracy to it. I could tell it was an old machine, but I wonder who made it and what compelled them to do so...

Maybe it was originally Art with a message, or truth. Through time it may have become a thing of entertainment. From the first looks of the website [link] (if this is the same place) I don't think the things in this place are ment to be more than just things of entertainment, maybe acpuired here and there in Life. I'll just shut up now. I like it. Interesting photo you've captured.

OH YEAH! That's the place alright! I had no idea it had a website. The site is pretty screwy too.. like... ugly web-design...and such. I'm rambling now, but yeah. Everyone should check that place out! Marvin is scary though.
