I have this headcanon that Colgate/Minuette is the TARDIS in pony form. The Doctor and the TARDIS still strongly value keeping each other in each of their lives, but each acknowledge that the other has different romantic interests with their equine hormones. She still has a sort of profound protectiveness of the Doctor, which manifest most frequently as her insisting that he brush his teeth fiercely after every meal when he & Ditzy Doo spend the night at her & Berry Punch's. Once or twice, she would leap on him when disaster struck and, without thinking, shout Get inside me, Doctor!. Thankfully, nopony would be around to hear it, or they would gravely misunderstand it~

In canon, Minuette is just a normal unicorn who specializes in time magic and has way too many hobbies. Kind of a scary combination if you think about it.
