Description
The Unity was a recent project I had started for a strip. It's basically about the going ons of a band and their misadventures. Sorta' on a Josie & The Pussycats vibe. I had a lot of fun drawing these, as they're in a different style than I'm used to working in. Sadly, I didn't get past these initial sketches and a few strip layouts. Been thinkin' about starting it up again, maybe as a web cartoon, or children's book? We'll see..
If u notice, I used real instruments as opposed to drawn ones. This was partly because of a time constraint, as I had to present The Unity as a concept for licensing, and also 'cuz I'm lazy and didn't want to keep drawing instruments over and over again. It actually worked out better this way, as everyone loved the look of real guitars against the drawings.
