Your work and photography are both stunning; it's hard to tell which floating teacup stands out the most, because they're all so beautiful ! How long does it typically take to create one of these cups?

Thank you for the wonderful compliment! <3
It typically takes around an hour or more, depending on how complex I want it to be

I adore this idea because it creates movement in an item which is still, it's totally like a cascade of flowers and I adore how cute it is thank to the flowers and the pretty teacups. So magic!

They all look so delicate and they work great together I enjoy how each one seems to have its own theme and personality. They have a very cheerful spring feeling to them, great work making something so beautiful

I love how effortless these look.Β It doesn't so much as look like the flowers are spilling out but looks more like they're climbing up to the cups.Β What materils did you use?Β I can see you use dry moss, but the flowers are more difficult to place.Β Excellent work on not making them overwhelming!Β It would have been so easy to do too much, but you held back enough to create a balanced collection.Β Beautiful work!

Thank you! They're from a class I held back inΒ March everyone really enjoyed making them
They're made from moss, paper flowers, plastic eggs, birds, nest, strong cable and a loooot of glue haha
Thank you for the wonderful comment <3

I love the idea and the way they look, are the small birds & bird-nest something you make yourself or are they bought from a store?

JustALittleCrafting In reply to Maiko-Girl [2016-05-30 09:04:25 +0000 UTC]
For now they're bought separately and I fill them myself, but in the future I am going to start making the nests and some other things out of polymer

What wonderful ideas! Just like a drop of spring flowing from a cup.Β
I am curious... how does the teacup stay afloat? If you are teaching classes... where are these classes?

Very strong wire and a lot of glue haha. I teach a small group of crafters in a town near where I live (in The Netherlands)

That's funny! I can see how you would need a lot of glue! Β
Unfortunately, the Netherlands is entirely too far away from me. Β (I live in Canada.) I guess I won't be able to attend one of your classes any time soon!
