Character
Realistic - blunt, but dishonest - independent - adaptable - arrogant - tricky - unsociable - supportive
Verity rarely, if ever, makes a favourable first impression, - not that she aspires to, at least. She’s not exchanging pleasantries nor seeing things through rose-coloured glasses: the world is harsh, and she’s not here to help anyone but herself and her tribe (even that can be debatable). Verity’s attitude seems unappealing to most, with her straight-to-the-point manner of speaking and gruff exterior: she’s direct in voicing her discontent, not bothering to reckon with anyone’s views or the situation around, though she’s not especially chatty. If you’d like to know the ugly truth as it is, Verity is likely to be the one to address it. She may as well hide the more awkward parts of it (usually when she’s portrayed in a negative light), making her a good liar, - overall, she often acts as a little arsehole. Her unsociable personality and rough tongue aren’t really charming people around, and she’s plainly hard to make friends with. Verity’s way of thinking has no flaws and she’s always in the right: and she’s sure to make everyone remember that. It takes a lot of patience (or a good thrashing) convincing her to admit her mistakes or wrongdoings.
Out of all traits, Verity values her ability to adapt to an ever-changing situation and making the most of it. She’s not used to relying on others to do things for her, that is the luxury she could not afford since childhood, thus distrust is rooted in her very nature to the core. Verity prefers doing things on her own, with no one to hold her back, and strives to be the strongest lone wolf. Having a bustling company is something she could never enjoy, especially if said company is way too clingy. Her temper is too short for social interactions, and it’s easier to work things out through violence and aggression than “talking it out” or analysing the problem. Despite her less than favourable approach to people, Verity is still a good person to have at one’s back: once someone wins her heart through patience and understanding, she starts holding that someone in a higher regard and being supportive in any way she’s able: not necessarily through affectionate words, but gestures of trust and thoughtful actions. At her core, Verity likes being helpful and appreciated, which is so hard to achieve in the usual state of mind. And although she does not share some common code of honour, she would fight to the last breath for her friends’ goals.

Backstory
Hidden away deep in murky woods lies a unique tree settlement waterlocked by an extensive swamp. The Southern Ephabian tribe consists of people of a peculiar origin: believed to descend from the dreadful fomorian race, Ephabians are feared by other nations and kingdoms neighbouring to the forest. In truth, Ephabians, belonging to noble sidh, have shaped their distinctive culture, and are really proud of their ancestral heritage. Ephabians set bringing honour to the tribe as their ultimate goal; however, not all members of the tribe quite meet the expectations... This is the case with Verity, who's been living as an outcast for as long as she could remember. Despite the young years, Verity's life has been nothing sort of tragic and dull existence: disowned by the tribe leader, Hyppolita, laughed at by every peer, frowned upon by every elder. All for being not quite "like the others".
