These days his lungs felt as if caught up in a storm.
Everywhere he went, a remnant of his presence lingered long after the tragedy (or had his exhausted mind been fabricating the illusion that it did?). Everywhere he went, Soheil imagined his scent on the wind, his sparkling eyes in the dark, his voice echoing across the caverns.
There wasn't any peace anywhere he went.
Only... there was that one place...
Or rather, someone who offered said peace, however brief. Someone who kept his sobbing form protected against the shifting winds, someone who kept him warm as grief froze his heart over. Someone he had always counted on long before it all happened, and always would.
Sometimes the golden prince wondered what he had done to deserve a blessing such as Pallas.

I always viewed Soheil and Pallas' friendship as something extra comforting and confidential, no doubt this bond is one of the most important ones to the prince <''3 she is his steady rock in a hurricane so to speak! naturally she is one of the first persons he goes to in time of need and tragedy.
