Jordan Critz - Starry Night

The night was cool and tranquil, covering the world in a deep-blue cloak of sleep and comfort, with the stars slowly creeping onto the darkened skies, shy and quiet, merely few glints of light here and there. "You know, it's funny how the single stars are barely seen in the sky at all," Illsa began, addressing her musings to Qassiel as they laid in the clearing to admire the view above, "They are so small and fragile, they can barely shed a light... But it's only if you look at them one-by-one. When they shine all together like that, they are all the more beautiful and bright in their unity. Quite symbolical." The breeze ruffled the two wolves' fur gently, the last reminder of the passed winter days. Her face, marked with a soft smile, lifted up, to where the stars formed vague dream-like figures. She found herself quite enjoying the quiet and pleasant company of a fellow Sage. "It's only in their unity our fate can be read."
