Radical Face - Welcome Home

Sleep don't visit, so I choke on sun
And the days blur into one
And the backs of my eyes hum with things I've never done
Sheets are swaying from an old clothesline
Like a row of captured ghosts, over old dead grass
Was never much, but we made the most
Welcome home

The daylight slowly crept into the sky, casting the darkened valley in hues of yellow and orange; ruffled grass swayed on the wind, the sweet fragrance of flowers filling the summer air, making it all the thicker and richer.
He stood at the centre between the narrow mountain base and the plentiful, blooming valley. Somewhere behind him - the scattered packmates with their backs dappled by early sunlight and the solemn Lakes the Wolkin had crossed to reach this destination. To make this their home. Where they came from, the land was so much more barren and mountainous, and the air - drier; with milder summers and gentler winters. It was familiar, but it was not perfect, and now Jorann had to get used to the new scents, sights and sounds.
He was starting to appreciate it, too.

The boy is enjoying the new home! AND he's getting taller and scrunklier. Soon to be a juvenile
