My part for the *IamTerra 's contest~
Because the idea was intriguing.

After throwing some ides around in my head, I came into conclusion I didn't want to make Amane too girly or too boyish either, but something in between. Also, deciding her body type was one thing. At first I was going to make her pretty tall and bony like her brother is, but after a sample sketch, I decided it didn't fit that well after all.
So, she ended up being a bit of a tomboy with pretty regular body type.

What else.. Oh yeah, the purple on his hair is dyed, not part of her natural hair color. And as the pic states, the longer part on the left side of her hear is a hairpiece. She changes it depending on her mood.

Deciding the colors were a huge challenge, for you've probably noticed I'm not that colorful person either. I wanted to make Amane at least somewhat colorful, but after I seemed to get stuck with purple and grey, I added the rainbow bag. So yay for colors.

I still can't color make-up. I hope it didn't make her look horrible.

Taking a small peek on the inner side, I think Amane is a bit of a gamer chick. Ryou is her big brother after all and Ryou loves games too and I could imagine them playing different kinds of games together. Influence, I say. Though, in the end Amane went more for the computer games or so, while Ryou grew to love RPGs.
