The countless times you had claimed it, there simply was no way I could’ve forgotten it.

I shouldn’t trust you to be there if I was to fall.

You were the god, I was a mere mortal. There was nothing between us besides the pact we had. You were the superior, you were the one with the power. I might get my revenge with your help, with your lent power, but in the end it’d all just fell under your name – your victory.

I was merely a piece in your game. Something you’d use and then throw away. I was only there to do the dirty work for you. You didn’t have to bother staining your own hands when you had me to stain mine for you. I did the dirty deeds, I was the hated and loathed.

Meanwhile you could just lay back and enjoy the show. Wait for the grand finale.

If you only had known that your pride was depriving you from seeing what really happened in front of your eyes. I never worked for you; I never took you as my superior. All the flattering words and vows I gave to you? Just embellished lies. You devoured them with a beast-like appetite all the same.

You were too blind, too arrogant to see through the charade. Probably you didn’t even want to see through it. You wanted– no, craved for admiration, for the faked flattering I lavishly feed you. Even if you didn’t admit it, I wasn’t blind like you were.

You simply couldn’t question your power or status. No such possibility that you’d make a mistake – that you weren’t perfect after all – even existed. All I had to do was to play along with that twisted delusion. It was so easy it was almost ridiculous.

And you called yourself a god? Hah.

You still bled like a mortal when I had sunk my knife in your body. Your pained groans weren’t any different from the ones I had already heard. Your body trembled and fell on its knees just like anybody else’s. The fright gleaming through your widened, shocked eyes wasn’t anything new. It was almost boring.

However, the expression you wore when you finally realized your mistake shall be burned in my memory.

You hadn’t been able to think that I, a puny human, would be able to harm you. You had trusted me to be there, obediently, following your every order. You had trusted me. No matter how it could be masked, rephrased, twisted, in the end it was all the same. You had trusted me.

You, the one who had so many times claimed that I shouldn’t trust you to be there if I was to fall.

As I watched your arrogance, your pride, even your power shatter behind your eyes, I knew you wondered the same as I was left to wonder.

Why had you expected me to be any different from you?

You never know what kind of ideas may strike you when going home on bus.

This.. is pretty difficult to place to YGO!'s original plotline even though that was kind of the idea. Thinking about the Millenium Arc, nonetheless; What if Bakura only thought he was in control of Akefia? What if Akefia was actually just waiting to backstab him so that he'd get the victory all to himself?

I just love messing around with Akefia and Bakura's relationship, don't I.
