Actually, I think Germany would make a great L. But instead of sweets, he can just eat liverwurst all the time, lelel.

Yeah, but he's very clean and neat and doesn't come off as odd or strange. With Germany, you expect him to be intimidating and with Death Note, he would never survive. Russia would be the closest to fit the description, because he is good at cunningness, while using his strangeness to throw off his enemy. He's also unpredictable, being why there was never an official war during the Cold War. It was basically a game of Chess. L is an expert at playing the game. Death Note was like a game of chess the entire time with both enemies, who didn't know who the other one was, trying to throw the other's game off in order to discover the identity of the other. Germany never played any game of chess with Britain. He basically played Battleship, throwing bombs in hopes of destroying the enemy. It was Russia that was playing a game of Chess throughout the Cold War and he was an expert at it. It's also why the US was a great competitor in throwing Russia's game off. I would consider America a better L than Russia, except he is Britain's greatest ally, so Russia is the best candidate. If Russia was in Death Note, he would know how to throw off anyone that tried to find him or his name. I should probably make a top list of Hetalia characters that would defeat Death Note.

Thanks so much! I just thought that if anyone would be Light, it would be Britain. And I especially like the idea of Flying Mint Bunny as Ryuk.
