I use 3dsMAX + V-Ray and Photoshop.

I really can't decide. I went back and forward between them so many times with them all lined up so it looked like I was turning the lights on and off. And I couldn't decide which one was better.
I will say that I like the reflection in the dark one.

This just has one word for it. BRIGHT. it's immersed in white, which gives it light and a really good lack of perception of depth. beautiful and inspiring, to me at least.

the light one gives the feeling of laboratory and flowing chemicals , whereas the dark one gives the feeling of rotating mechanical components or like the one of those kids yo yo with lights
either way both look quite different and cool
