thank you! I didn't use any "special" fabrics, I just picked some fabric that reminded me of velvet. Also the inner layer makes it more heavy so it drapes like that

the cape was a nuisance to me, it was always in the way :'D and animecon is held in Finland every year, although this was the last animecon. but it doesn't matter if you don't cosplay anime-character, you see a lot of game/movie and other non-japanese cosplays there : D

But, um... care to give me an English translation of the rest? Though I currently LIVE in Turku, I'm not Finnish and my grasp of that language (though I love it) is.. very, very limited and I'm not entirely sure if I understood everything correctly. I could chance an educated guess, but... no. I feel like I should know more after almost 1,5 years of studying Finnish, but somehow even Chinese is easier... XD

I was fooled by your nickname XDD I just pretty much said that the Turku Cathedral is an awesome place to shoot, although you can't climb it :'DD and also I used to be a member of the Turku anime club (I live nearby) back when I watched anime :3 and I really can't blame you for not understanding Finnish, it's way too hard even for Finns :'DD though German is very difficult too, I studied it for... 13 years and still can't speak it

Hihi, aye, the nickname. I like the sound of it and I really enjoyed Suomenlinna when I went there with a friend a few months ago. Everything was covered in ice and snow, but I really loved it. And the ice on the Baltic Sea made eerie noises when it was moved by the waves. I definitely plan on going there in summertime, if/when I (hopefully) can come back sometime. Unfortunately I have to leave Turku for Germany next Tuesday... meh.
And I'll agree, both Finnish and German are certainly difficult to learn. I have however learned through experience, that a Finn who claims they "can't speak German even though they studied it for >8 years - no really, they can't" are usually just a)overly modest and/or b) shy. 
But Finnish and I, we still got a loooong way to go. And the fact you Finns sometimes seem to write and speak two almost entirely different languages (and I'm not talking about Swedish here), does not help one bit. But you grow with your challenges, they say.

Wow, I have to go to Suomenlinna at winter sometime, I've only been there in summer. We planned a photoshoot there, it would be great for many cosplays, dark tunnels for Amnesia and the little hills for Hobbiton :'D it's funny how you never visit cultural sights in your own country. Aww, you have to leave for good? :C were you studying here or something else?
And I have to say that the one thing that makes Finnish very difficult are the dialects DD'8 I can NEVER understand if my friend who's living in Helsinki says something, I always have to ask what does this word mean and so on. Well, every language has those tricky parts. But if you visit or live in some country it strangely motivates you to learn

Aye! Suomenlinna is perfect for a Hobbiton setting. I immediately had the same association when I went there. Though those would be some heavily armed Hobbits (what with all the cannons and stuff).
Joo, I studied at the University of Turku (Social Sciences/ Political Science/ East Asian Studies/ Development Studies ... stuff^^. It was fun).
And yeah, I have to leave for good, unfortunately. (At least for now.) But I don't think this will be the last time I come to Finland. This country has gotten a pretty firm hold on me over the past 10 months.
But first I have to go home and I have to pack my stuff and aaaaaaah! :C
I'll just find a corner and panik a little. I'll be back when I've calmed down. ^^
