IntroWell, sorry I'm late, but here it is, Hearthbreakers aka Christmas in October?
Thoughts
Oh boy, this one is gonna be a tough one for me to tackle. Okay, let's start with some of the interesting stuff, Pinkie's family is introduced in this episode, her mom, dad, and two sisters besides Maud. So, did the rest of the main six also have their own main six before meeting each other? I mean we have Twilight with her friends back in Canterlot and Now we have Pinkie with her family also making up a group of six. Now about each of Pinkie's relatives each seem to have their own personality that does really make them stand out albeit a bit one note, at least for the time being. Limestone Pie is a grumpy pants, Marble Pie is Basically Fluttershy turned up to 11, and her parents, I honestly don't know how to describe them. And let me just make two things clear about the talk about Big Mac and Marble Pie, one yes it is cute, but they're clearly incompatible if that's all they can say to each other, and two, it's not incest if your blood relation is that deluded! And the way the Pies celebrate Hearth's Warming Eve, it's all rock based, I don't have much else to say other than Pinkie's family is weirder than her if that's even possible.
Entertainment wise, it was, okay I guess. Just to name a few good moments, there's the times where Pinkiepie and Applejack are all saying the same thing. The part where Applejack drinks rock soup and coughs up a rock is also pretty good. And Limestone also makes for some fun moments such as her strange obsession with keeping people from touching her holders boulder, or her enjoying watching Applejack suffer on their rock soup, seriously, how do these ponies live with a diet consisting entirely on rock? And besides being somewhat cute it's also awkwardly funny seeing Big Mac and Marble Pie trying to break the ice with just eyups and mhms. And when the two families start a fight I do feel sorry for Pinkiepie who just wanted their families to get along.
And then here's where things get difficult for me, the moral. Okay, I, really don't know what to say about this moral. Yeah, learning about different traditions. I just really don't know what to say about this, I guess I just don't really have much real life experience in dealing with conflicting traditions. I mean all I can really say about this is I guess it was wrong of Applejack to just sorta force their traditions on the Pies without asking And I guess it's good they learned about each others ways and that's about it. I don't know, I guess maybe I'm just the wrong guy to talk about a moral like this as I don't really have any real life experiences with this that I can relate with.
So all in all, it was pretty good, we do learn some interesting things About Pinkie, such as meeting the rest of her family and how they celebrate Hearth's Warming Eve. The entertainment value was good in some places. And the moral well, I don't really have much to say except that I wish I had more real life experience so I could actually talk more about it. This episode kinda feels like the opposite of last weeks episode the one where Pinkiepie knows, where as that episode was more fun but had less interesting topics, this episode had more interesting topics but less fun, not to say it was boring, just that last weeks episode had more fun stuff, at least for me. It kinda gave me the same feeling as the Maud Pie episode, a good episode that I feel I should like more, but I just don't for some reason, but like I said, not bad, it's still enough to get a good rating.

Yeah this episode looks weird as heck. It's MLP's logic where After Christmas comes to Halloween. Applejack, don't cry yet!

It would've been better if Krampus showed up.
