Description Introduction
Welcome back with new episode Party Pooped, aka take a shot every time you hear the word yak!

Thoughts
So where do I begin with this one? We now have yaks added to this universe's human equivalents and boy are they short tempered ruffians, seriously if they aren't one hundred percent satisfied with what they get. Kinda reminds me of the mlp review/analysis community, I'm not kidding. The way they talk also kinda reminds me of that bully Kavo from the Emperor's new school, not sure if it was intentional, but pretty cool. Although it's sorta a Pinkie episode the other 5 seem to play quite a portion of the episode trying to appeal to the yaks with as authentic Yakyakistanian authenticity, with destructive results.

So with the Yaks literally ready to declare war on Equestria it's all up to Pinkie to deliver the best party she can. And of course with they others failings Pinkie is more than a little nervous, so what's the best way to make Equestria feel like Yakyakistan, why go there of course so after ther long trip Pinkie, somehow ends up sledding all the way back to Ponyville just a few meters short of Yakyakistan. Also Pinkie has her own batcave with everything about everyone including their fears aka their greatest weaknesses such as Twlight's fear of quesadilla's, yep, she's batmare, awesome!

But in the end Pinkie has the perfect idea for the party to soothe those ruffians, Equestria style. So in the end it turns out they were going about it all wrong, you can't make Equestria like Yakyakistan, because well, it isn't Yakyakistan, what they should have been doing all along is giving the yaks the welcome the way they know how, the Equestrian welcome. That's actually a really good moral, you can't make someone feel at home by making it feel like their home, you have to make them feel at home where they are. There's also another moral presented with the other five finding out how much work Pinkie puts into her party planning, be appreciative of the work your friends do for you.

So all in all what do I think of the episode, I think it's great! We get some more world building with the yaks, even if we were this close to seeing Yakyakistan, oh well, maybe another day. Another insight on the inner workings of Pinkie, her having her own party cave and that she'd all across Equestria if that's what it took to make the best parties she can. More Of Twilight's panic attacks, as well as some from Pinkie, double insanity. Also Twilight still keeps Cadance's breathing technique in mind, nice little call back to Games Ponies play. And of course how can I not mention Pinkie's antics, as per usual her antics really made for some really funny moments, such as her narrating jokes, and her sliding up the slide once again giving the screw you to physics. I also enjoyed the yaks overreactions to everything not one hundred percent to their liking, I wonder if this is DHX's subliminal message to the over demanding review/analysis community. Also Cherrie Jubilee's return is a nice welcome along with the new facial expressions. It was alot of fun, then again what more do you expect from a Pinkie episode.

5 stars, really? While I welcome the idea of Pinkie having a party cave, "Yaks smash" got real old real fast.

I personally agree with this opinion. Pug is just way too hurtful in his reviews. And he disagrees with the ones I like and the ones I hate.

Episode 9 was a prime example. I didn't like the episode that much (3 stars) and he loved it (5 stars). The Rarity Investigates one. I loved it while he hated it.

Yeah, he and I have been on opposite sides of the spectrum on most things. Honestly I don't know why I bother keeping tabs on him anymore.

Yea. Not to mention the review to the Rarity Investigates one sucked.

If you ask me the yaks are a perfect representation of the overdemanding fanbase.

Remember the three ponies (Lemon Hearts, Minuette, and
Twinkleshine) that first greet Twilight? This scene happened
right after the intro in Season 1, Episode 1: Mare in the Moon.

To answer to your final statement: yes Twilight DIDN'T have any friends before coming to Ponyville. Remember the first minutes of the pilot where Twilight harsly refused to go with those three unicorns to the birthday of a pony called Moondancer? THOSE are the ponies, with which Twilight will make peace in the next episode (maybe we'll even see Moondancer for the first time!). I actually have an idea of where the next episode will go, but I won't tell it here to avoid possible spoilers.

Mh..... speaking of, it seems like in this season writers are doing like "we're finishing what we started" I mean: the final episode of the CMCs/Luna Trilogy, Gilda getting redeemed, Cranky and Matilda getting married, Twilight making peace with the Canterlot ponies she was harsh to until she went to Ponyville... it's like writers are concluding all the things suspended in past...

So would Acquaintance sorta describe her relationship with those ponies?

School buddies I guess, she has known them when she was a simple unicorn student, althought like we know, in the beginning Twilight was an hothead and all she cared was studying, and she never gave a f*** about friendship before she went to Ponyville. In the next episode she realizes how harsh she was toward them and she wants to amends with them. The rest will come by itself (and I actually have an idea of what will happen then, but I won't say it because spoiler).
