Intro

Looks like we have us a questionable moral here.

Flight To the finish

Here Scootaloo tries her best to fly but unfortunately due most likely to her wing size she can't. She can try as hard as she might but no matter what this is an obstacle that she may never truly be able to over come. This is actually a very realistic and admirable moral. Sometimes there are things that we just aren't capable of doing no matter how hard we try, handicaps may never truly be overcome, but we shouldn't think less of ourselves because we can't do something as well as someone else, if at all,  we still have our own individual traits that only we can do. Basically we should never let down on ourselves on the things we can't do and remember the things we can, that is a great moral, they don't sugar coat it for the children, they're being realistic.

Leap of Faith

Here Granny Smith drinks a fake tonic that she believes cures her and because she believed it works she was able to overcome her age and do things that she could in her prime. Where do I begin? Okay, basically the moral being taught here is that all we have to do is believe we can do something and we can make it happen. That's not how it works, look, age is not a mental in your head condition that prevents us simply from believing we can't do certain things, age is a physical condition where our bodies are just incapable of doing these things anymore. And yet Granny is miraculously dancing about with an incredible amount of energy she doesn't have. So the moral is believe it and you can do it? Do I smell a Feeling Pinkie Keen 2.0?

Well here you have it folks, we have us one moral that says there are some things that just can't be overcome, and one that says we can do anything if we put our minds to it. Have so many people just over looked this little side moral in Leap of faith? Sorry to rain on your parade but this Leap of Faith moral just doesn't feel right with me.

The entire episode of Leap of Faith makes no sense. While it IS true that sometimes all that's holding us back from doing something is our own mental inhibitions(shyness, fear of embarrassment, etc) this took it to an unbelievable level. Forget Granny Smith. The Flim Flam brothers "customer" is shown throwing away his crutches and being able to walk fine after his "injury."  Their scheme should have been revealed the next day with all the other ponies who would try to be walking/flying etc. and getting much more severely injured because of it.

All in all, not a good episode. Made no sense and could have been way better executed.
