This is actually a henna-style tattoo that I did with a purple Sharpie. I think it turned out really cool, but if I'd have tried to extend it up my fingers I would have gotten impatient and ended up with a boring repeating pattern. Finally! Someone else who does it in Sharpie. I love doing henna patterns on my hands, but I only have Sharpies to work with. Everyone thinks I'm weird for doing it, so I'm glad to see I'm not alone!

About a day. Sharpie doesn't stay on hands too well, especially when you have to do stuff with them. It was neat while it lasted, though

use a kitchen scale, check how much there is by looking at the box, or use a rough conversion chart like this:

It helps if your hands are dry, I guess. Use a light touch with the marker.
