Goodness, drawing is tiring.

I was planning on drawing several pieces throughout spring break, but I flew through the week without drawing anything. Oh, me.

I've been drained from motivation again. Another art slump, I think. *kidchan is my inspiration for this picture. She's one of my favorite artists because the details and essence of her drawings just blow me away.

This drawing is a conceptual illustration of Kazuo Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go. If you've read it, no spoilers please. I've only gotten up to chapter nine (my assigned chapters were 5-8 for this picture). It's a really interesting book, from what I've read so far.

It's probably sort of difficult to tell, but the hourglass shape the lady is connected to is an hourglass/sandglass. It represents how she cannot plan her own future, as it is already laid out for her. The sand continues to fall as time passes. Time passes until her duty is fulfilled.
