Mutter really is a beautiful song, you're intereptation of what it conjures up is very beautiful and very poigant, lovely work with the watercolour, I love the surrealism of it

It's one of my faves too right after Sonne and thats great you love experimenting, some of the best techniques are learnt just messing around and seeing what you produce, you did that wonderfully with this peice

Experimenting in techniques is the best, if you get the chance try putting all kinds of weird textured things and liquids in watercolor washes when half dry.

Crinkled plastic wrap, crayons(or candle wax), salt (coarse or fine), rice, credit card edge swipes, rubbing alcohol and ink are my faves.

no. put the plastic wrap on when the paint is half dry (it will look shimmery but not shiny). sprinkle on salt in same stage, drip or draw on wax before painting or between layers, drizzle salt in shimmer stage or when it looks almost dry and drip or draw alcocol or ink at anytime
