Description

Since DA has this lil dragon event (and i want that cute lil badge, I haven't bothered for others in this series, but i needed that bby) I decided to try it out.

Ended up with a diffrent pose entirely, but did start my first thumbnail just like the tutorial, but then i tried to bend or pull it to get a diffrent look, while keeping it in profile, and then finaly, used shapes to sketch out the base of this drawing.

It's a Faerie Grarrl of neopets. I love dinos and i love dragons, and I kinda love that a faerie Grarrl is kind of a good of the two, I love the saturated colours too, and i spent the most time of this whole drawing on the pattern across it's body. I swear, I did the basic stuff in about 3 hours, then multiple hours last night and today were just drawing dots, because I reallly liked the look. I designed it to emulate that kinda bubbly look you get when movie film would burn back in the day, yknow them big circles, then added a bunch of little ones to give a sorta textured look, as if it were super round scale like patterns akin to some bearded dragon patterns.

I also loved making them a bit chunky, the tutorial using a big old cricle from the body, so I wanted to keep it big and round but Grarrls do taper toward the neck.
