Description
Ok the last batch to complete the Saban Era is here! It took me way less than I expected create these teams so, yeah, enjoy. I really enjoyed creating this backstory for Alex and his team, so I really hope you like it.
-----------------------------
About
-----------------------------
I never liked this team's suits. And I still don't, weird because I enjoyed making them. But anyway. As you can see, a couple major differences here: First, Trip is more alien looking. Sorry if it bothers anyone, but even as a kid I always thought him being an alien just because of the thing in his forehead was something stupid. I mean, he has the green hair and all, but we all know green hair is not something particularly unique really, just go outside for a while and you are bound to find someone with green hair. So how did I fix it? Well, the same way I fixed the Aquitan Rangers, changing him skin color to one impossible to get on this planet. Lazy you say? Maybe, but a purple skinned person with a jewel on his forehead and green hair is in my opinion, way more alien than a green haired guy with a sticker on his forehead. Second, I never liked the idea of the sixth ranger to be the same color as one of the core members, don't get me wrong, I love Eric as Quantum Ranger, and his suit is way cooler than Wes' but given the chance, I wouldn't have used red for his suit. And look at that, I have the chance to change it! So I did. First I thought on making him a Crimson Ranger, but that would be basically the same problem, plus it would be one Crimson Ranger too much, two is my limit, lol. So instead, I decided to work his powers into Alex's backstory and came up with something I love, hope you feel the same about it. Oh and he is not Quantum Ranger, I like the Sentai name better, so, that's what I'm using.
And lastly for Alex, I always thought the idea of him having the exact DNA as Wes was stupid, I mean, the guy even has different hair color which as a kid I knew it meant they were not an exact match. And anyone with basic genetics knowledge knows something as noticeable as that means they CAN'T have the same DNA no matter how you want to go around it. So how did I worked it? Well, He was never the Red Ranger, he just pretended to be and when given the morpher to Jen, he never stated the DNA biding thing, that is something they learn after using the morphers for the first time, and immediately raises some red flags for everyone on how Wes can use the morpher. As for his powers, well, he was the one sending help to the Time Force Rangers in the first place, from the Shadows, well, that gave me all I needed to create him a backstory. So, with that said, please enjoy the story I came up for him and kind of for Eric.

Canon Changes
-----------------------------
Pre-Time Force
- Alex Faunt was the candidate for the Time Force Red position but after seeing his exceptional abilities, the leader ofΒ the Time Shadow team, a two man Elite Black Ops team of Rangers created by the Time Force to deal with the worst and most dangerous criminals, chose him to be his partner, shortly after his previous partner retired.
- As a mean to keep Time Shadow a secret, only their members and the captain of the Time Force knew of its existence, Alex was told to continue his training as always.
- During one of their missions, they fought a creation of Dr. Louis Fericks, a huge robot that threatened to destroy the Time Force's ability to travel through time using its own version of a Time Portal but turning it into a Time Bomb. To prevent this from happening, Time Shadow was tasked on using their zords, the Q-Rex and V-Rex to fight it, but to prevent it from destroying any time travel capabilities, they'd have to fight it out of the city. The battle was fierce and noticing the damage caused even outside the city, was huge, they were sent to prehistory, the Cretaceous period, were they had never traveled before since no humans lived there, and even if the robots left any imprint, they would be mistaken by a real Tyrannosaurus.
- During the battle, Alex's zord, the V-Rex was destroyed leaving him injured on the ground alone. The battle continued and as the Q-Rex clashed with the robot, a huge rift appeared, threatening to destroy both robots. Knowing he had to stay to stop any major damage caused by his zord in the explosion and to prevent Alex's death, Time Shadow Red gave him his shield to give him more protection as he opened a time portal to send Alex back to their time. The last thing Alex could see was the two robots exploding on each other as he was shot through the portal on the explosion.
- After recovering at the Time Force HQ, Alex learned they were unable to contact either Time Shadow Red or the Q-Rex. Alex explained what he saw, and they concluded Time Shadow died. Afraid any more intromission on that era could cause permanent damage to the time flow as they knew it, Time Force heads agreed to take it as a blessing a couple zords and a Ranger was all the casualties from the battle and not send any more assets to that period.
- Alex was enraged and wanted to go back himself, but they explained him they could not allow him to go back in time, in fact, if it wasn't for the DNA bonding process, they would take the Time Shadow Blue morpher from him as he had failed on bringing back the evidence needed to prosecute Dr. Fericks who now claimed his robot design was stolen and probably malfunctioned.
- Instead of accepting his dismiss on the Time Shadow team, Alex proposed something else, to leave him as the sole member of Time Shadow, and use the shield given to him by Red to upgrade his powers and in doing so, prevent any more rangers' death.
- Time Force Captain agreed, but told him to continue with his facade as Time Red trainee to prevent anymore suspicions in the force, the disappearance of the Rex zords was loud enough already, they didn't want anyone to link him to the zords and reveal Time Shadow to the public.
- Alex agreed and eventually "graduated" from trainee to Time Red, using the built-in holo projector of his morpher to display the Time Red suit instead of his real one.
Time Force
- As Time Red, Alex continued working on his duties as part of Time Shadow, investigating possible anomalies and changes to the time flow. Eventually learning of the future escape of Ransik and how it would prompt his death as Time Red. Something that would come in handy since it would allow him to operate as Time Shadow full time.
- In order to make sure his death happened, but to assure Ransik's apprehension as well, he decided to form a team and help them be ready to help him face Ransik when the time came. He chose the most promising cadets for this, Jen Scott, Lucas Kendall, Katie Walker and Trip Regis for this.
- During one of his monitoring missions of the timeline, he learned something troubling. If this team was successful in apprehending Ransik after his escape, he would be erased from the timeline. Not only that, his disappearance meant no one would be around to help Time Shadow Red to fight Fericks' robot and with no pilot fot the V-Rex, Time Shadow Red would try to control both Zords and not being successful, he would not be able to stop the robot and cause the destruction of the Time Force and the entire city. Apparently, to ensure his existence, and the destruction of the robot, Ransik had to go back in time to try to fulfill his vengeance, and the team he was training would have to got back in time to stop him. In doing so, they would succeed in stopping Ransik, but get stranded in that time period after loosing their powers. By doing so, they would move on with their lives and eventually Jen would meet Wes Collins and have a child together, who becomes Alex' ancestor.
- Unwilling to disappear from existence, and wanting to make sure Time Force would not disappear either, Alex investigates Wes Collins and realizes they look the same, save for a few differences. With this knowledge, he trains the team to be ready to fight Ransik, but he fails to tell them about the DNA binding of the morphers. As the time for his escape approaches, he lures Jen into starting a relationship with him. Using his resemblance to Wes Collins as an advantage.
- When Ransik escapes, knowing he has to go back in time to ensure everything else works, Alex sends the team after Ransik while he tells them he'll take the morphers. The team fight Ransik, but are easily outmatched, Alex arrives with the morphers in a briefcase and faces Ransik alone, staging his death and making sure he escapes. Before the portal closes, he gives Jen the briefcase with the morphers, including the real Time Red morpher and tells her to look for someone in the past who resembles him, so he can use it to help them fight Ransik before sending the four back in time.
- Now in 2001, Jen works as the leader of the team and they fight Ransik but are unale to use their morphers, just be quickly defeated. Alex made sure to have the real Time Red morpher be the key for the rest of the morphers, that way, he made sure Jen and Wes would meet each other. When the team meets Wes by chance and noticing his resemblance to Alex, they conclude he could use the Time Red morpher.
- After Wes reluctance to aid them, they leave to battle Ransik once more, this time tho, Wes follows them and after seeing them being beaten, he agrees to help them and together they use the morphers.
- After learning from the morphers they are DNA bound to their owners, the teams grows confused how Wes could use Alex's morpher.
- The rest of the events occurs the same until Eric finds his morpher.
- After finding the morpher and using it to fight the mutants, Eric decides to call his power Time Fire after the command that appears on the morpher at the start of the sequence.
- After the resurgence of the Q-Rex, Alex is puzzled to find out Eric managed to get the original mopher of Time Shadow Red and that his zord is different from the Q-Rex he remembered. He comes back in time using the Time Shadow Zord to investigate the Q-Rex and learns Time Shadow Red survived the explosion and somehow managed to use the remaining parts of both Rex Zords and Dr. Ferick' robot to form this new Zord.
- Confused on how the timeline has changed he returns to his time and with the new data of the Q-Rex learns how his former partner survived the explosion and hid his morpher hoping one day Time Force would find it.
- When the Rangers defeat Ransik, he is the one to come back in time to take Ransik to his prison and explains the Rangers how he never was truly Time Red, introducing him as Time Shadow. When they learn of Frax' revolt, he tells them to let him be, the changed timeline showed him Wes and Eric can take care of him using the Time Shadow and the Q-Rex, but in the end they would both die, something that is irrelevant since both have achieved their purpose, the Q-Rex will erase Frax' army and while severely damaged, the city will survive. And as for Wes, his objective was never to be a Red Ranger, but instead, give birth to his lineage and he had done that, Jen was pregnant and that was all they needed now.
- The team is astonished by Alex' demeanor and let him with Ransik while they go help Wes. Confused about what happened he is forced to remain in the present to ensure Jen's survival. After saving her from Frax' robots, he is unable to fight, but feeling he owes it to them to change for the better of the group, he passes down the shield back to Eric, it was his in the first place and it would save his life. During the battle Eric gets wounded, but survives thanks to the protection his shield gave him, he tries to pass it down to Wes, but since he is not a Time Shadow he is unable to do it. So instead, Eric gives Wes his morpher so he can control the Q-Rex and finish up Frax.
- After defeating Frax the Rangers agree to return to the future, except Jen who decides to stay with Wes. Eric and Wes remain in the present with their powers, tho Eric returns the shield to Alex since he thinks it would give him an unfair advantage over Wes and they now see each other as equals, something he was to stay the same.

That's not blue, that's Time Shadow. Alex Faunt, Wes' descendant.

Because I consider the idea of a sixth ranger wearing basically the same colors as one of the core rangers is stupid so I changed it in a why that I like it.
Both your questions have been touched upon and explained throughly in the description, maybe take a look at it, I might have alreadyΒ explained other doubts you might have there.

Yeah cause just because Eric wears red does NOT make him a red ranger

Exactly! He might wear mostly red, but he IS a sixth ranger, this backed off by Gokaiger having Time Fire's power as part of Gokai Silver's arsenal. So, to get rid of both "potential" confusing points, I decided to change his color scheme to one that 1-Makes it NOT mostly red, 2-Works better with his designated name (and backstory) and 3-That I like better.

Well, they are your shippings, so YOUR opinion. It shouldn't matter what I think about it.
But since you asked for an answer: Wes and Jen are shipped in the canon material, they are probably the strongest hinted at couple in PR since Tommy and Kimberly, so that one is to be expected from anyone whose seen the show. The second one I don't see a reason they should be shipped or how that'd work, Lucas is kind of in a relationship with Nadira from about the halfpoint of the series and is too full of himself to lays eyes on anyone who doesn't worship him, something the yellow ranger wouldn't do, specially because there is no hint of her looking or developing a romantic relationship with anyone at all. But, that is just MY opinion anyway.

I saw the episode movie madness, and I saw in the back area when they escaped their films Lucas and Katie kissing, (I ship them so damn hard like my other ships in PR)

No idea when that happened. Been over a decade since I last watched Time Force. But again, its your shipping, it doesn't really matter what I believe about it.
