Updated Version. After revisiting this project I realised I didn't like the pink helm, guess I just changed my mind about its looks lol. And I changed the white one because thinking back to the original MMPR, Titanus was already white, and I've seen many interpretations of a white ranger using Titanus as base, I thought what better way to pay omage to both Titanus and stil keep by team full of dinos? So yeah, I changed the white to a Brachiosaur because of that, plus I like it better now.

Well, this is my ninth work from this universe I'm creating, as you might have noticed, I upload them on batches of 3-5 teams at the time, but that's because I tend to work on an idea and as I finish it I move on to the next one and so on until I run out of inspiration xD And well, this is my third batch. About this universe, it is taking quite a while to finish it I know, but life keeps me busy with responsabilities and stuff, but well, enough with boring you guys. I hope you people like it and if you do please leave a comment, I really appreciate them and they help keeping me motivated to continue this work.

This team is my ninth project, though chronologically they are the first team created by Hexagon and as such I wanted it to a homage to the original MMPR which is the main reason for their suits to be so classic looking, with the diamond in the middle and all. Though I wanted them to look a bit more updated of course so that they would not be considered a copy of the originals and so I took inspiration on DC’s New 52 Future Wally West’s suit which is why they have those stripe things on their arms. I could have drawn more resemblance to said suit (like the boots and gloves which I liked) but they would look too different from the original rangers and I didn’t want that.

As for their zords/motif I always loved the idea of the MMPR be based off of dinosaurs, mostly, so I wanted my rangers to be entirely based off of dinosaurs while still looking reminiscent of the original which I believe went smoothly with most, I’m particularly proud of the green, red and blue rangers’ helms, though the yellow, pink and white look very different from the originals, I personally think pink ranger’s helm should’ve been completely pink instead of the white/pink mix had. And the other two, well, yellow couldn’t resemble a tiger no matter how much I would’ve try (which I did not try xD) and the white one, I used black instead of gold because, I think it would be too gold looking and wanted a more colored based scheme rather than a metallic scheme on him.

Backstory

After being defeated during the "Once a Ranger" events in Overdrive, Thrax did not die, but he was severely injured which forced him to scape in order to survive. The battle left him in a greatly weakened state and not having servants like his parents nor "friends" at his disposal to help him recover, he was not able to return to full power for many years. When he finally got strong enough to resurface, he decided to watch the current situation before doing something as rash as before, what he saw was not something that pleased him, the current Power Rangers, these Gokai Crew was stronger than the Overdrive Rangers he faced before; though they didn't have the aid of any previous rangers in ranger form, they had access to every Power Rangers' power which could prove to be more troublesome than what he's faced before, they were probably the strongest Rangers so far.

Once again Thrax's plans were ruined, he soon realized that if he wanted to have at least a chance to defeat the rangers he'd need allies or servants, preferably servants, to do his bidding and help him defeat the Rangers. So aided by Zedd's staff and the little magic he knew (compared to his parents), Thrax searched the galaxy for those who could help him. After reaching the Sector M51 of the galaxy, it didn't took him long to find some of Master Vile's former servants. Slowly building a grid of associates that put him in contact with his grandfather's underlings, most of them he didn't deem strong enough to be at his side, but would be of good use when needed a monster to test the rangers. The underlings he found strong enough though didn't consider him worthy of helping and he was forced to fight them off to show them his actual worth, something that earned their respect and loyalty.

After many years of stablishing a name for himself and when Thrax was getting ready to return to Earth, he, along with his two most trusted, or at least, stronger generals Saber Turann and Asud Jahim, was ambushed by a golden cladded creature and an army of Putty Patrollers bearing the "Z" symbol of his father on their chest. Naturally they were no match for Thrax and his generals, but he did state they were strong enough to cause trouble to some of his weaker underlings, when Thrax demanded the identity of the putties' general, he revealed himself to be Goldar, though he was missing his right wing and had the left side of his face completely scarred, his armor though visible gold, was greatly damaged, missing parts of it here and there. Goldar told Thrax that if he was planning to attack the Rangers like it had been rumored, he wanted to join him, who else better suited to assist him than his parents' most trusted general, plus after the destruction of Dark Spectre's forces and Rita and Zedd's demise soon after, Goldar was among the few survivors of their army, but being weakened he was not short of opponents who wanted to show off their strength by attacking him. He managed to defend himself though it was clear that the battles had taken their toll on him. Thrax thought about it for a moment before smiling to Goldar and teasing him, callin Goldar "a weakling not worthy to be by his side" causing Goldar's enragement. The man beast attacked Thrax violently but Asud Jahim got in the middle and fought Goldar, the two were actually even in battle, for a while, but in the end Goldar was defeated. Before Jahim could kill him Turan suggested that Goldar was showing off he was not a weakling, instead he might just be stronger than he was before and if Thrax provided him the medical aid needed, he could be a great asset in his quest, plus the putties could be used a foot soldiers and with most of Master Vile's empire now at his disposal Thrax could create as many as he needed.

Thrax smiled, he agreed with Turan, in fact he only dismissed Goldar to test if he still had it in him, the desire of destruction that made him his parents' most trusted general, plus having the man who managed to kill one of the rangers that foiled his parents' plans so many times in his army would make for great army motivation. Using the resources he now possessed, he had Goldar recover from his injuries and a new armor being built for him. Master Vile's best crafters took on the task to create more putties for him and after setting an HQ on the dark side of the moon, much like his parents, Thrax was finally ready to take his revenge on the Power Rangers. At Goldar's suggestion, Thrax decided to focus his attack on Angel Grove, the hometown of the original Power Rangers, with their powers lost there was no way they could defend it and even if any other team of rangers decided to move to defend the city by the time they arrived Thrax's attack would have already decimated the city and would be a great wound for the humans and specially the Power Rangers.

History

Soon after Hexagon was established, Tommy, Jason and Billy created the first three teams at the same time, giving each of them the task to mentor each team. While Billy's team would stay at Hexagon's HQ to protect them from potential dangers, Tommy and Jason's team would go to the outside world, feeling Jason deserved the honor of choosing his team and base of operation first, Tommy and Billy created an HQ at Angel Grove for his team and out of Jason's desire to honor their time as rangers, the first team ever created by Hexagon would follow this trend.

With location on Angel Grove, his hometown, Jason was not only tasked to protect a city but his actual home, and his family as well, in the time after leaving the rangers and the moment of their return in the Mega War battle, Jason had married Kimberly and formed a family together, and had his first born son Jared Scott named after his father. Now as the mentor of the first team of Power Rangers created by Hexagon, Jason decided to take on his son to be his successor as the first Red Ranger thinking he was the best person for the role given his preparation. Jared grew up hearing from his parents everything about their time as Power Rangers and that despite all the threats and perils they faced, those were the happiest days of their lives, that added to seeing the different Ranger teams through the years protecting the earth, made Jared eager to become a Ranger and even before Hexagon was even an idea, he trained with his father in the hopes of one day become a Power Ranger. After explaining his son his duties as a Power Ranger, he tasked Jared to search for people suitable to fit the role of Power Rangers. Jared much like his father had a group of friends he hang out with and though his was smaller, counting him they were only four but he thought of them being worthy to become rangers as well. So, taking his friends to the new HQ, Jared along with Daniel Yu, Alyssa Taylor and Marco Cardenas started training under Jason's tutelage. It didn't took long before Jared's girlfriend Cindy Robinson, noticed he spent quite more time with his friends and would not tell her why or what they were doing, so she decided to follow them to find out for herself, only to be discovered by Jason when she was spying on the training rangers-to-be. Instead of informing the group about her, Jason decided to explain her the situation and when she was fully aware of everything, he offer her the chance to join the group, she agreed but asked to be taught separately since she was far behind the rest of the group, Jason agreed but informed her it would not be him who trained her instead he asked his wife Kimberly, the original Pink Ranger to help her in her training to which she gladly agreed.

The group continued their training for about a year, preparing for any threats, but it wasn't until Thrax arrived at Angel Grove with his generals and a small army of patrollers, seeking revenge on the power rangers, that they were forced to finally act as Power Rangers and defend their hometown. And so Jason called upon the five rangers, shocking them by all and specially Jared that his girlfriend was the fifth ranger of the group, Jason instructed them to leave the shock and questions for after the battle and provided each of them with their morpher and the instructions on how to protect the citizens first and only after they are safe to engage in combat with Thrax and his men. And so, Hexagon's first team of Power Rangers appeared to defend Angel Grove once again:

On their first battle the rangers didn't do as well as they hoped, though their efforts were good enough to make Thrax retreat, only to have him attack the city periodically, everytime sending a different General to fight the rangers, accompanied by a small army of putties, much like his parents before him. More often than not Thrax's men were dealed with without much consequences, but the constant attacks on the city made Evan Thorne a fellow classmate of the group to feel powerless to help the others and didn't took it lightly, so on his own Evan started training to become a stronger warrior, having trained martial arts in his young age helped him improve rather quickly and when he felt he was ready he would face off the patrollers when they attacked the city, at least whenever he was close by. Of course when the rangers arrived they would ask him to leave the scene and allow them to take care of things, something he didn't liked but knew was the logical option as he was not nearly as powerful and the rangers. Though Evan's actions caught Jason's attention and after one of Evan's training sessions he approached him with the offer of training him to become stronger and maybe even be able to help the rangers, something he didn't hesitated to accept, Jason then took Evan to the ranger's HQ and would train with him when the rangers were not around and provide him with tasks to help him improve for himself whenever Jason could not train with him. Evan would continue training alone for some time, but his time as a Ranger would come when Thrax decided to attack the rangers on two flanks, sending one of his strongest General to attack Angel Grove's Downtown and when they were engaged in the battle with it, Thrax sent a second General to attack Angel Grove High and the Youth Center (yeah, it is still there), with all the rangers busy engaging the first monster Jason saw it a need for Evan to finally become a ranger. Much like the first power rangers had Tommy added to the team as the green ranger, Jason asked his team's sixth ranger to be a Green one and that if possible its appearance to play homage to his friend and Hexagon co-founder, now that Evan was ready, or rather, forced to be ready, Jason gave him this sixth morpher so that he could join the battle and help protect such an iconic place of the history for the Power Rangers.

Evan was happy to finally be able to help the rangers properly and rushed to the place of the second attack, appearing already morphed in his ranger form to defeat the second monster sent by Thrax. Though the battle was expected to be even or maybe even more, Evan proved Jason's training along with his dedication were enough for him to outmatch the monster and defeat him. After that he'd become a regular member of the team and like Tommy before him, Evan would help out Jared in leading the team often times.

The last member of the team is Landon Smith, who worked at the Youth Center as a volunteer teaching soccer to the kids that attended the center, unlike Evan, Landon would not engage in battle with the monsters, instead when the city was attacked Landon worried more for the wellbeing of the others, specially the kids, though of course this lead to him having to face the wicked foot soldiers more than one time to protect the children, displaying battle skills not expected on a soccer player. This determination fo his caused Jason and some of the rangers to pay attention to Landon's actions, but it wasn't until one of Thrax's generals attacked the Black Ranger from the back that Landon actually acted against the monsters, putting himself between the Black Ranger and the attacker, receiving some serious damage. As soon as he recovered Jason, along with Evan visited Landon and offered him the chance to protect others without having to suffer getting injured like that again, Landon was reluctant to accept but realized that doing something as reckless again would end up killing him, unless he became a ranger. Jason and Evan agreed that Landon would be training with the Green Ranger in secret, Evan had proved that even when alone a person could become strong enough to be a Power Ranger. It wasn't until Tharx sent Goldar to fight off the rangers that Landon's identity as a ranger had to be revealed. The former General to Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd proved to be actually stronger than before as acknowledged by Jason and defeated most of the rangers with ease, in the end only Jared and Evan were still standing against him, but were outmatched, it was then when Jason sent Landon to help the group in the battle, using the last morpher created for the team, one that, like Evan's would pay homage to the sixth ranger of the original generation, this time taking inspiration on the White Ranger powers to create Landon's morpher.

With Landon's help Jared and Evan were able to fend off Goldar and though they didn't defeat him for good they managed to hurt him enough to give them time to prepare for another attack. Now with seven rangers to face against, Thrax was more anxious to defeat the rangers and sent General after General among the strongest ones to fight them, but the combined power of seven ranger and their many zords were more than Thrax's army could take and forced him to send Saber Turann and Asud Jahim together to finish them off, something the duo could not do and got destroyed, greatly decimating Thrax's army's forces, but in the process taking heavy toll on the rangers as well, destroying a good part of the city's downtown a rendering some of their zords unusable as well. With this Goldar suggested they should take on the rangers themselves and Thrax, desperate to fulfill his plan agreed, taking not only Goldar but every single one of the putties he had left to attack the city. In the end the rangers were able to defeat them, destroying Thrax for good as well as Goldar, but not without having the rest of their zords unusable and their bodies heavy injured.

Though the battle was expected to be even or maybe even more, Evan proved Jason's training along with his dedication were enough for him to outmatch the monster and defeat him. After that he'd become a regular member of the team and like Tommy before him, Evan would help out Jared in leading the team often times.

The last member of the team is Landon Smith, who worked at the Youth Center as a volunteer teaching soccer to the kids that attended the center, unlike Evan, Landon would not engage in battle with the monsters, instead when the city was attacked Landon worried more for the wellbeing of the others, specially the kids, though of course this lead to him having to face the wicked foot soldiers more than one time to protect the children, displaying battle skills not expected on a soccer player. This determination fo his caused Jason and some of the rangers to pay attention to Landon's actions, but it wasn't until one of Thrax's generals attacked the Black Ranger from the back that Landon actually acted against the monsters, putting himself between the Black Ranger and the attacker, receiving some serious damage. As soon as he recovered Jason, along with Evan visited Landon and offered him the chance to protect others without having to suffer getting injured like that again, Landon was reluctant to accept but realized that doing something as reckless again would end up killing him, unless he became a ranger. Jason and Evan agreed that Landon would be training with the Green Ranger in secret, Evan had proved that even when alone a person could become strong enough to be a Power Ranger. It wasn't until Tharx sent Goldar to fight off the rangers that Landon's identity as a ranger had to be revealed. The former General to Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd proved to be actually stronger than before as acknowledged by Jason and defeated most of the rangers with ease, in the end only Jared and Evan were still standing against him, but were outmatched, it was then when Jason sent Landon to help the group in the battle, using the last morpher created for the team, one that, like Evan's would pay homage to the sixth ranger of the original generation, this time taking inspiration on the White Ranger powers to create Landon's morpher.

With Landon's help Jared and Evan were able to fend off Goldar and though they didn't defeat him for good they managed to hurt him enough to give them time to prepare for another attack. Now with seven rangers to face against, Thrax was more anxious to defeat the rangers and sent General after General among the strongest ones to fight them, but the combined power of seven ranger and their many zords were more than Thrax's army could take and forced him to send Saber Turann and Asud Jahim together to finish them off, something the duo could not do and got destroyed, greatly decimating Thrax's army's forces, but in the process taking heavy toll on the rangers as well, destroying a good part of the city's downtown a rendering some of their zords unusable as well. With this Goldar suggested they should take on the rangers themselves and Thrax, desperate to fulfill his plan agreed, taking not only Goldar but every single one of the putties he had left to attack the city. In the end the rangers were able to defeat them, destroying Thrax for good as well as Goldar, but not without having the rest of their zords unusable and their bodies heavy injured.
