I was just simply having fun testing out brushes from and came across a very interesting one that made a nice pattern when expanded. After drawing it more, I realized how much of a nice background it would make and continued drawing until I came up with this.I wasn't going for proportion, obviously, since it IS abstract. I really don't know what I was going for. For me, I feel fear from the child. Others, when shown, feel different emotions. What do you feel?

Interesting....not sure if it was part of the original plan, but it can probably work similar to the inkblot tests. Shown a vauge picture, people will make up their own story about it, often telling much about them in the process.
As for me, I see a child frozen in terror (the kid) as s/he watches as an alien spacecraft (the bright spot on the right) slowly approach during a midnight (dark background) rain (some of which catches the UFO's light and reflects to form the light spots). As for the footprints, he's on a beach, with the rain dampening the sand enough to record his footprints.
Either that, or the white blotch is an erupting volcano, the sky is dark due to an ash cloud, the footprints are in volcanic ash, the small spots are chucks of molten rock, and the kid is running for their life.

Well first I think you should link those brushes from Tojo page you got them from.
Now as to what the image looks to me, it looks like a fresco or one of them prebuilt in texture effects of Photoshop elements effects. As for the situation, I see this as a wandering boy whose say lost and alone, or parents have died. If as such is an orphan no one to take care of him, it is pre-industrial revolution because ere is no lights, and it is cold barren and alone and the moon is his only comfort.
This is the beauty of the abstract their are as many interpretations as their are eight ways from Sunday well done speed paint.

Curiosity sent the poor little boy to the moon where he died. It seems very cold and forboding to me, I can see this being part of a sci-fi horror movie.

It was excellent. I'd heard it wasn't related to Aliens in any way so that came as a bit of a surprise. But I went to see it with my film-savvy friend and she managed to spoil most of it by guessing what was going to happen and being right on just about all accounts. Didn't like the cesarean scene, but I'm queasy with blood.
